Did You Take Out the Trash

Did you take out the trash?

Take a deep breath before you answer, because I am not referring to the trash you are thinking of.

Yes, it is important to take out the trash regularly-the trash I am talking about is the stuff that keeps you from the things that truly matter-the present and the moment you have right now.

Would you agree that we have so much junk in our heads that stops us from moving forward, doing the things we want to do, achieving our goals?

How easy it is to lose track of life with the things that crowd our head-our struggles, the things that hurt us, the setbacks.

We lose track of life, love, happiness and success.

Now, suppose we pause to get rid of all that BS inside our heads. What if we got rid of everything that's holding us back in our life, in our work, our relationships, our happiness?

What if we got rid of all the doubt, the anger, the resentment, the fear, the anxiety, the failures and stress that hold us hostage from our true purpose in life?

Let's let go.

Let's enjoy the feeling of shedding that weight off our shoulders.

Take out the trash.

And then...

Let's make conscious choices and take responsibility for our actions.

Let's be fully conscious of what we are doing.

Let's live in the present moment-not where we wish we were or where we could have or should have been.

What will this mean for us?

Enjoying the journey-not the destination because it is the journey brings true happiness.

Let's be focused, fearless.

Let's be here, be now. It is pretty much like weeding your garden, creating space for growth-healthy growth, so you can focus your energy on the things that matter.

Let's simplify our lives, maybe even forgive those that hurt us so we can move forward.

Take a deep breath, again.

So now, tell me. Did you take out the trash?

Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least.
