I’ll let you draw your own additional parallels, but there is something truly delectable about the fact that a holiday celebrating food that lacks any nutritional value fell on the day that Donald Trump will officially accept the Republican presidential nomination.
If you haven’t been following along, today’s your last chance. And what a day it is. In addition to Trump’s speech, we’ll also see Ivanka Trump take the stage. For those who are just tuning in to the Trump show, Ivanka’s the one who appears to be the most competent of the Trump clan. So this should be good.
There are non-Trumps speaking too. Peter Thiel, a co-founder of PayPal, stands out as the only Silicon Valley big wig to publicly back Trump.
And there’s always the chance that someone goes rogue, or a protester manages to break through security and steal the mic. If none of that tickles your fancy, well you should still tune in.
Not knowing who you’re voting against is just as bad as not knowing who you’re voting for. And it’s National Junk Food Day, so you can dull the pain with sweet or salty (or both?) snack of you choice.
