My blog is my personal zone but it is also a business. I work very hard on my blog and spend a lot of time making my content as engaging as possible to develop my readership. I am often approached by brands who want to work with me, the ways in which I work with them could be from writing/accepting a sponsored/guest post (this is a post I am paid to create or publish). I might work with brands by reviewing or featuring their products on my blog. They may wish to advertise on my side bar or they may want me to become an ambassador for them.
I only accept work where I feel it is relevant to my blog. I never falsely provide positive reviews/features or blog posts.
  • Make transparent any relationships with products or companies. If you have received a product for free to review, make sure that’s mentioned in the review. This can be easily done. Some bloggers mark reviews with a line that states something like, “This product was provided to me free of charge from the company in order to review it. However the opinions expressed in this review are independent and my own.”
  • Clearly label advertising, advertorials and/or sponsored posts.
  • Always write truthfully about a product or company, even if they give you free stuff.
  • Never pay to acquire followers on a social media platform such as Facebook, Twitter or G+.
