Disney World Collage

Now that I’ve had time to sort through our hundreds of pictures of Disney World, I thought I would give you a summary via collage.  I’ll start off with this one above since the lady on the left is responsible for the vacation.  This is Mom, me, and Mr. A in front of Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom.  My Mom and Dad are a part of the Disney Vacation Club so we are lucky enough to get to Disney often.

This trip we went with my Mom, Dad, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew (my other brother was stuck working–silly grownup responsibilities).  We spent the week running from park to park trying to squeeze in as much as possible despite Tropical Storm Debby’s wrath.

One of the greatest parts about Disney World is the plethora of food options.  Luckily, I travel with some adventurous food aficionados who love to try new things.

My favorite restaurant had to be Via Napoli in Epcot.  They have three wooden stoves where they cook their authentic Italian pizza.  The flour and water used to make the dough are imported from Italy, making it truly the most authentic Italian pizza we’ve gotten since our honeymoon.

Mr. A’s favorite restaurant was also in Epcot, the Coral Reef.  Here you get to dine overlooking Epcot’s 5.7 million gallon salt water Caribbean Coral tank.  And yes that’s a shark swimming by.

When we weren’t eating (which is pretty often with Mr. A’s appetite), we were trying to get on as many rides as possible.

Our favorite ride had to be the classic Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom, which my nephew got to experience for the very first time.

After it was over, he spent the entire time walking down the exit ramp skipping and singing “That was the best ride ever!”

We also spent some time meeting a few of Disney’s cute characters.

Some of us even got to be transformed into other characters.

Mr. A got picked to be an extra in the Indiana Jones show.

But my nephew was luckiest of all because he got to be two people.

First a jedi.

Then a pirate.

When we weren’t pretending to be other people, eating, or riding rides, we were watching parades and fireworks.

But at the end of the day, it wouldn’t have mattered if we were doing any of those things because we were together.

And that’s all I’ll ever really need.
