Don’t Delete All Your Friends

Posted on the 05 November 2012 by Linsibrownson @CleverSpark

I can’t remember which “guru” it was, but I remember following their lead on something.

They were into “connections”. And having real conversations. And keeping it personal.

So what did it mean for them?

Deleting everyone one of their Twitter followers they didn’t have a “connection” with.

So guess which dummy did it, too?

Unfriending Friends

Then the “guru” did the same thing with their Facebook friends.Guess which dummy did that, too?Looking back on it now, I kick myself. I think back to people who probably got upset with me. I deleted people for no reason. Why? Because I followed a “guru” and not my heart. But, I will say I’m not sure what my heart was saying back then, either with being so new to the online business world.

I still feel bad about it. Live and learn.

So learn this.

A “guru” doesn’t know it all. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. If you’re not sure, think on it.

And if you have some personal stuff you want to keep personal, there are ways to do it without unfriending everyone.
