…drift off

It’s the second day of winter, and many of us are well into our own personal hibernation routines—i.e. a lot of time in front of the television, which for many of us means more falling asleep in front of the TV.

There’s no judgement, just a fact, and as those visions of sugar plums and whatever program you were watching when you dozed off dance in your head, the sad fact is, you are missing some valuable television time.

The sad fact is, unless you had the forethought to hit record before you nodded off, the remainder of whatever TV gem you were watching may be lost to you forever…until now.

Very soon, you will be able to catch some ZZZ’s in front of the television, and pick up where you drifted off once your nap is complete. Virgin Media is working on a 3D printed wristband that would automatically record the rest of whatever you’re watching, should you fall asleep in front of the television. Finally, you’ll be able to see what happens during the second half of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” dreams do come true.

And don’t worry, Netflix nuts, a similar integration with your FitBit (because people who binge watch also monitor their daily activity, right?) is also in the works.
