I have just finished watching a news segment on my local news programme were the council have stated that young drivers are at more risk of car accidents on the roads of Lincolnshire due to the lack of experience that drivers under the age of 21...
On the segment a young driver stated that learner drivers only learn how to pass the driving test and not learn to drive which in some way is true but it just shows how the driving test is seen by learner drivers...
One of the biggest things that really annoyed me was how some action groups were saying about how accidents could be avoided:
One suggestion was to have a 1 year period were new drivers would have a driving curfew and not be able to drive at night...
But I have a big thing about this as if you limit when people can drive you are dictating to people and this is free country and to limit something like this would stop people from living life as many people need to drive for work and to stop people is to kill that persons livelihood...
I also found that the comments from the people that contacted the show was very one sided and seemed to have ago at the younger people and I felt that the people that contacted the show were very spiteful to the younger generation...
