I have quietly listened for days now. I have tried to filter, to not have an opinion…or at least not say it out loud.
Today I hit the point of being done.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?
And by you people I mean anyone that gives a SHIT what this guy has to say in the first place.
Don’t you all know that this show is fiction? That these people are as fake as my Christmas tree this year? I mean COME ON.
It is a TV show people!!! It is all bullshit.
All of it.
The fact that people are in an uproar is bizarre to me, let’s give people a reason to slam other people that don’t have the same belief system that they do. Ya, that’s okay. Really? It somehow became alright to be bigots and homophobic again? Have we just regressed back to 1970 here? I don’t give a shit about free speech. If you are any kind of a public figure, which unfortunately Phil appears to be, you need to watch what you say out loud. The fact that he tries to save himself by quoting the bible is bullshit.
I am in no way slamming anyone that is Christian for being Christian, your religion is your choice…just like me thinking it is all an illusion is my choice.
I am confronting the believers of this show. Do you really think these people are for real? Really? They aren’t. It’s TV. It’s ratings. That. is. all.
It doesn’t mean it’s alright to say things like this….and this is a quote from Phil himself…

Really? Give me a freaking break here dude. Because I think pretty much the greedy covers some of the ground you are walking on old boy. Don’t even TRY and pull the wool over our eyes on the fact that you have more money than God because you are a so called celebrity. Isn’t you trying to up your show ratings by saying something like that classified as greed?
So I am pretty sure that means the gates are gonna be closed to you too buddy.
I have a huge issue with judgment from people when it pertains to what is going to happen once we die. How about if you aren’t going to get in those big fat totally made up pearly gates because you are telling people what is right and wrong based on a book of bullshit?
How about the fact that you have no bloody clue what is going to happen and who is going to go where? Who makes the rules for that? Not Duck Dynasty…that is for sure. I have no problem with you believing whatever you want to believe. Fill your big ole pretend redneck boots.
But don’t tell people that they can’t be gay. That they can’t be drunkards or slanderers or swindlers. People can do whatever the hell they want to do. And seriously it doesn’t matter that they are any of these things. It doesn’t mean they are doomed to hell. That is a bunch of crap.
When you are dead, you are dead. Period.
I am not saying that we don’t go somewhere else…but I am pretty sure that if we do it wrong the first time, we just have to keep coming back HERE until we get it right, and possibly the penance we are gonna pay is that we have to sit through five minutes of your stupid show.
So people…get a grip.
How about if you grab your balls and stand up for something real?
Like children starving. Like abuse of all kinds. Like our government all being crooks. Like making the world a better place for real.
Not standing up and showing your outrage because a celebrity that is being a homophobic jerk is being taken off of the air.
What is wrong with our society when a reality show that isn’t really real has the headlines of the news for more than a week?
Pretty much everything is wrong with that. Everything.
Give your head a shake…look around. Get real.
How about we live our lives while we are actually HERE and not worry about what the hell happens when we aren’t? No one knows that, stop pretending you do. Stop judging people and the choices they make based on a theory. Live your life and be kind to everyone because that is what being a good human being is about, not because of the reward you think you are going to get when you die.
Seriously.
Let’s make Christmas this year about being alive, about loving your family, about embracing LIFE. Real life, not the pretend TV kind.
Let’s help others and be kind.
Without judgment. Without the bullshit. Without Bigotry or Homophobia.
And hopefully in the New Year, without Duck Dynasty.
