I have relocated and moved into a new home. It was a huge move. It was a good move. I hate moving!!!
I cleaned out my locker at the station only to fill another at a different fire hall. I have accepted a transfer to a larger rural fire station, which also provides mutual aid to two neighboring municipalities/volunteer departments. This department needs some 'fine tuning' and a boost in morale. I was approached and offered the position... which I knew if I didn't accept, I would be mandoed. My transfer comes just shorty after more cutbacks, and as a result, full time paramedics in our outlying rural area have been pulled and transplanted in the city. (This is a topic I won't get into now... but will later.)
My oldest progeny moved back home and her mother and I have been flipping coins... playing rock, paper, scissors... etc. to see who gets the drama. Good news: I won! I moved her in with her mother. Downside to that news: I am only a 10-15 minute drive away and she knows my new address.
