E I G H T // Letter to Myself in 10 Years

Posted on the 08 October 2014 by Lifeofasportswife @jessaolson

I had actually thought about skipping today. I have never wrote a letter to my future or past self. I had thought about it, but I could never hit publish. I'm not sure why thought.

So it took me forever to post today because I wasn't sure what I wanted to write about. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go serious, goofy, or what. After a lot of thought I still have no idea so here is it..

Dear Jessa,

I hope that you are doing well. I can't believe that you are 41. Remember when you were 30 and going through anxiety about being 30. Hopefully you enjoyed your 30s, and not freaking out too much about being 40. Seriously though age is just a number.

I hope that Gary is a GM and you have stayed in a place for more than 18 months. Hopefully you aren't in your current situation anymore because I know how stressful that was on you. I hope that you have accomplished your own goals as well.

How's running going? I hope that you ran a few Disney races and had a blast. Maybe you even like running, but I can't imagine that happening. Hopefully you lost the weight I was waiting in my early 30s. Take good care of your body. Don't forget to use moisturizer.

How's the debt thing going? I know that we have worked hard on it and sometimes lapse in judgment as well. I hope that you have accomplished those goals.

I hope that you are doing well. There is so much more that I hope to accomplish for myself but right now I'm exhausted and got to get ready for church.

What would you tell yourself?
