Darren and I got Ryder's Easter basket ready the night before....and I think we might have gone overboard just a tad....
You see that trampoline? Yeah, that thing was a bitch to put together. I thought Darren was going to throw it through our sliding glass door. The assembly made no sense, and whoever designed it made it much harder than it needed to be. Oh well, at least it's put together and Darren, and the trampoline for that matter, made it out in one piece. :-)
Ryder was actually excited to look through his gifts, which totally made our day.
I think what made it even better was how much he loved his trampoline. I asked Darren if seeing Ryder with it made up for the shitty design and the blood, sweat and tears of putting it together. He said absolutely! :-)
He used it for a holding place for his new cars, but he really does love to bounce in it. Parenting win for us!! Yay! :-)My parents, brother and his fiance all came over later for a small cookout. Sorry, I was having too much fun and forgot to take pictures. Whoops...blogger fail? I will say this, the afternoon may or may not have included Darren getting drunk off of blackberry brandy. You decide. ;-)
Darren's family visited later that night as well, so we got to spend time with almost all of our family on Easter. It was really nice! What made it even better is the fact that I got to stay home for all of this!
