Play around with Furniture
Choosing furniture that is comfortable and in line with your needs and even your image preferences can change the tone and the appearance of your home. Normally your furniture will be a reflection of your style and it will also show your personality too. If you love colour, then try and choose colours which pop. Try and add some throw pillows and some blankets as well. Other items will also enhance your home’s appearance, so make sure that you keep that in mind if you can.Source: Pexels (CC0 License)
Picture Yourself
Go to the local furniture store and sit on the couch. Close your eyes and then try and visualise yourself in your apartment. When you have done this, you can then explore how that couch makes you feel. Is it a comfortable couch that you can snuggle up on with your partner? Or would you prefer one that pulls out, so that you can entertain your guests? If you can picture yourself doing certain actions in your home, then this will give you a way better idea of whether or not it fits your style and the basic needs you have.Add Some Artwork
Some people like to display collectables and others like to display art. At the end of the day, artistic features are highly personal, and they can create a lot of different memories for you. Every time you look at the art, you will want to evoke a certain emotion too. If you buy art because it is popular and not because you love it then this won’t be doing you any favours. It will be cluttering your home, and this is the last thing that you want.Own your Space
If your home has a ton of outdoor space, then why not try and take advantage of it? If you have a yard, then you should know that you can customise it with a fire pit or even a BBQ. When you do this, you will soon find that you can make it feel more like yours. If you love to collect rugby memorabilia because you are a fan of Rugby Union, then why not hang it proudly on your wall? If you can own your space, then this will make it feel way more like yours and it will also add to the general comfort that it can provide you with as well. Remember that you can never personalise your space too much. If you love it, then that is all that matters, so keep that in mind.K Elizabeth xoxox
