Eat, Pray, Love

Hey guys,
Today I want to share with you how Literature can influence your home designs. This might sound like a really weird thing to be talking about, but trust me! Honestly, it can work wonders. I want to talk about the fabulous 'Eat, Pray, Love.'  by Elizabeth Gilbert. This was also made into a film which starred the wonderful Julia Roberts. I simply adore these Bali inspired prints and the Bali style within this Next home range collection. I think the warm tones can really warm up a room, as well as making it exotic! The cushions would suit a cream sofa, the vase would look great on a glass table in the corner of the room with flowers and, the lantern would look great with a candle placed inside.
These are all great pieces that would compliment a room greatly and really make it stand out; to impress family and friends. Other novels you could use could be: Alice in Wonderland with dramatic, large, statement pieces, Brave New World with sharp, sleek, white tones and so on.
I've used novels as inspiration within my home too! I look for worn, distressed novels much like the library in 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte. Rustic, worn, wood pieces inspired by Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte etc.

Hope you like these pieces as much as I do!
