There are different types of rubber bands. The old ones usually snap when stretched too far; they are shrivelled and dried up. Then there are the new rubber bands that are strung too tight with the least of pull. They easily snap away from your fingers and hit you n the cheek, nose or eye. The third type of rubber band is neither old nor really new and can stretch just right. They like to be stretched and utilised not to end up old, shrivelled up and, eventually, broken.
