Exmoor Wedding: Preview Images

Posted on the 04 July 2016 by Belinda Mccarthy @b_mccarthyphoto

Happy Monday! And I'm particularly happy to bring you a few previews from a particularly lovely wedding I shot a couple of weeks ago, in a glorious rural location just outside Minehead in West Somerset. This is the third Exmoor wedding I've shot so far this summer (I think!), and I'm really enjoying doing so much work in the area, for the countryside is absolutely to die for.

Back to this lovely, lovely wedding day, and it's days like this which make me so thankful that I have the privilege of photographing weddings. What a fantastic couple to work for, and how fabulous they look together, too! Not only that - I have been particularly lucky to get the opportunity to shoot weddings in such amazing surroundings such as this absolutely stunning countryside church surrounded by rolling hills. The wedding reception was held at the bride's family home, and again - wow, WHAT a location, what a beautiful place to hold a celebration! I know that the guests, as well as I, were absolutely thrilled to be able to be there and enjoy such a beautiful place.

Many of the weddings that I photograph are 'at home' marquee celebrations, and I do find these particularly special. I've talked about this in previous blogs, but I know how much it means to people to be able to hold their weddings at their family home. It's a place which already has so many memories attached to it throughout the years, and to be able to add 'wedding' to those special collection of memories to look back on in time is a truly wonderful thing.

Anyway, let's cut to the chase and dig out a few of my very favourite shots from this beautiful Exmoor wedding day to show you! I am just so thrilled to be able to share these with you all. Before I leave you to enjoy the pictures, I must say that the image shown above is my favourite wedding image I've shot so far this year. I just LOVE the moment it captures. This is shot just before the bride enters the church, as she composes herself before making her way down the aisle. It's such a magical moment in time, and I was unbelievably privileged to be the photographer to capture it.
