Yes, tonight at 2 am, we’ll get that hour back that we lost in March. With it will come that lovely feeling of getting just a few extra minutes of sleep. The mornings will also be a little bit brighter, for a week or so.
Although, the cost of this little bit of extra light comes in the evening, when the sun seems to set sometime shortly after noon. But as we head into the cold dark winter months, it’s best to focus on the positive.
So, as we prepare to turn back time, here’s some suggestions for how to use that extra hour:
- Sleep In — I know it’s obvious, but it is Sunday. It is the day of rest, and I can’t think of a better way to honor that title than with actual rest.
- Spring Cleaning — I know, it’s autumn, but seeing as you were robbed of that extra hour in the spring you may not have gotten around to it then. And even if you did, it never hurts to clean more than twice a year.
- Get Ready for the Holidays — I know yesterday was Halloween, but Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, and we all know that the Christmas season started a few weeks ago.
- Take a Nap — I’ll refer you to my comments for “Sleep In.”
