It's the perfect kind of popcorn-fare for the end of the summer. It'll get your heart racing, work your brain just enough, and leave you with the promise of a sequel...yes, there will always be another Mission: Impossible.
This (sixth) time around, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames) are coming off a close call that left them barely escaping with their lives and the baddies walking off with a lot of plutonium (bad news).
The close call lands them with a CIA babysitter (Henry Cavill) as they head off to Paris to once again save the world. And, of course, the impossible mission ensues.
What makes this series work (time and time and time and time again) is that it doesn't take itself too seriously...and has a marvelous cast. Also, I firmly believe that Simon Pegg should play the snarky sidekick in all movies.
Not to mention that this movie also features the infamous mustache that was so famously removed from "Justice League." So if nothing else, you can decide if this was worth it.
But in all seriousness. If you're looking for a solid action movie, it's hard to do better than the American James Bond. So grab your popcorn and get out there and enjoy.
