Family Friendly Food At KFC Big Bash

Posted on the 09 December 2015 by Suzanne Robinson @mummy2twinsblog

My kids are fussy and when we go out to events I do try and pack snacks and food that they will actually eat. It makes it easier when you go to places that allow you to take food with you.

My kid's favourite things to eat are: Cheese and Vegemite sandwiches, watermelon, apples, oranges, strawberries and of course they do like the occasional hot chips when we go out somewhere.

What do your kids like to eat? What do you pack them if you are off for a busy day out and about?

However I don't like to be restricted to having to purchase deep fried food only for kids when we go to any event. Why can't they have fresh food that kids will actually eat? Simple basic sandwiches. Fruit, water and 100% juice available. Not sugary drinks! Do you have this annoyance as well?

Yes this makes things so much easier, especially if you have fussy eaters like I do. Plus you can eat the way you would like and have much healthier food options this way.

It can also help reduce the cost of your day out. No standing in lines waiting for food, you can tuck into your wrap/sandwich or chicken and salad without leaving your seats. Talk about convenient.

This is why I like to pack a bag of food that my kids will eat and that I know is good for them. If they eat a majority of the good stuff I am happy to get them a snack or treat every now and then.

Oh and if you are going to the KFC Big Bash have fun. Games are not expensive, a family pass for 2 adults and 2 kids is only $42.50 so that is great value. Games start from the 17th of December 2015.

Also it is great entertainment for the whole family; Music, entertainment, and you can even meet the players.

Let us know what you would pack to feed your kids while at the KFC Big Bash. Share ideas, recipes and maybe we can all get inspired by your favourite snack or meal.

I applaud KFC Big Bash for allowing people to bring in their own food to the games. It makes it so much more family friendly and open to all. More places should do this. Of course you can purchase things if you wish but at least you have the option to take things that you know your family will eat and of course as mentioned before save a bit of cash.
