William Goldman, "The Princess Bride"

Today the world says goodbye to another great of the entertainment world. You may not be familiar with William Goldman's name, but chances are you know his work.

For one, he wrote, quite possibly, the greatest line in cinematic history.

If you're not familiar with that line, I have one word for you...

Okay, make that two words...

The point is, we lost a good one today. Goldman wrote the novel and the screenplay for "The Princess Bride." He did the same for "Marathon Man." He wrote the screenplays for "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "The Stepford Wives", "All the President's Men" and countless others. In short, he was one of the greats.

Thanks for the cinematic moments, inspiration, and the many stories you shared. Rest in peace, sir.

...just for fun:
