Fathers Day BBQ Lamb Kofte's
With the sun shining this weekend, what better way to celebrate Fathers Day than to throw your Dad a good old fashioned BBQ?
According to a recent article by Legal & General, Dads are worth up £21, 601 in the unpaid childcare and household tasks they do so of course we want to treat our Dads when fathers day rolls around.
If your Dad is anything like mine, the way to his heart is definitely through his stomach and most Dad's appreciate a good hearty meal!
BBQ's are the perfect way to spend Fathers Day, allowing you to spend time bonding with Dad while still cooking up a treat - but why not try something a little more special than the usual burgers and hot dogs seeing as its a special occasion?
We love these spiced lamb kofte's and they are the perfect BBQ food!
Here's how to make them:
You will need 500g lean minced lamb, 1 tsp cumin, 2 tsp coriander, 1 tbsp chopped mint, 2 crushed garlic cloves and some oil for brushing as well as the kebab sticks!
Simply mix all ingrediants together in a bowl and then roll them with your hands into 8 evenly sized balls. Press slightly on each ball to make them into oval shapes.
Thread onto the skewers and brush with oil, put on the grill and seal for 3-4 minutes - turn when sealed and then rotate often.
Delicious!!!
