Diaries Magazine
Hey team!
So, Sweet Apple is doing really well and growing. It is now part of an online magazine and the hits have definitely increased! After having a chat with some of the girls at recent hens night festivities, everyone is missing the girly stuff. The outfit of the day and make-up reviews. I have been a little more focused on literature and improving my photography skills that I have let it take precedence over the truly important things, like fashion.
So, to cater to all visitors, I will try to include more of that stuff again. To be honest, posing for the camera in whatever I have thrown on that day, makes me feel like a bit of a dick, and telling you what beauty products I love seems a little self-indulgent. But, the reality is that I am a researcher in all areas of my life and you'all want to know what I know on the matter. Which I find incredibly flattering. So I will get my glad rags on more often and fire up the camera!
I am currently wearing a pink fluffy robe, no make-up, with my hair tied back and a glass of red close at hand. Photo wanted? I didn't think so. Instead I will add an even sexier shot of me in the USA with a face mask on...trying to counteract the red wine and fried chicken diet that upset my skin terribly. Are you sure you want beauty advice from this person...
Ok then, to kick this off, I will include some of my obsessions this week. But as a compromise, I will include the reading material I am loving this week too...deal?!
Number one is my new fave cheap foundation. It is called Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and it retails at $27.99 from Farmers. Great coverage but natural, very similar to the Chanel Pro Lumiere. I wear Soft beige.
Dark chocolate is an anti-oxidant packed super food. This block from Lindt is ridiculously good, recommended to me by my friend Niki (I've eaten a block in two days...oops). But I tell myself it's guilt free, radical fighting!! Approx $3.99 a block.
Full of magnesium and Vitiman E, almonds are so good for you and great to snack on to curb the 3pm-I-want-chocolate-cake hungers. I've been learning about eating more cleanly lately and these are my new fave snack to have with an apple. Get em in ya.
Ok, time to talk shoes. When I was in New York, I treated myself to the above Steve Madden boots and I love them with all my heart strings.
New obsession. Swedish Hasbeens. Hand crafted clogs and sandals. These also stole my heart in New York. I got a gray pair. They can be casual and dressy. Low maintenance for the win!
This week I am reading The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger. I have also picked up the book that was on the side table where I am staying called Fat, 40 and fired, by Nigel Marsh. I love his British humor and straight up nature. And my fave mag this week, North and South Magazine...what a cover this month!
All pics are from google images.
There you have it friends. My fave things this week and a bit more of a girly blog post to cater to the masses who happen to be lasses (yes I realize that was lame, but it's the wine talking). I will try my best to keep these posts coming!
Thoughts are with China today.
Much love to you all XXX
