Let's look at a gorgeous recent makeover portrait shoot we carried out at The Stables Studio here in Shillingstone, Dorset.
Abi is a young mum who wanted to feel more glamorous for a day, just like her wedding day! She brought a few outfits of her own, and also fell in love with a pink strapless sequinned dress from our studio wardrobe.
We created two different hair looks for her - one half-up, one fully up - which were to her own specifications and taste. Abi had worn her hair up for her wedding day, and wanted to recreate the feel of that in some of the images.
For makeup, our studio makeup artist created a very light look for Abi, as she didn't like heavy makeup. Light makeup can still look glamorous and gorgeous, as you can see! With the addition of a few single fake lashes, Abi's eyes looked instantly more defined - and the light lipgloss was a superb highlight against the matte makeup base.
Our makeup artist used products from the Arbonne range, which are all available to buy through the studio.
Abi loved her images and is already planning to hang some of these on her wall at home, to help create a lasting document of her family. It's really important to remember that a portrait shoot isn't JUST for you; it's actually much bigger than that. You're creating a memory of a moment in time which will outlast you and be passed down for generations.
