Lady LEGO fans rejoice! We have been heard.
After years of enduring the lady LEGOs playing second fiddle, LEGO has (finally) introduced a slew of female scientists, namely: astronomers, paleontologists and chemists. The new set of characters are the result of the Ideas series—sets that are voted on by fans.
That’s LEGO’s story at least.
Truth be told, I think most little girls who play/played with LEGOs (although I can really only speak for myself), would be perfectly happy playing with our gender neutral blocks, but if the boys get to be doctors, then why can’t we?
It’s not as if girls haven’t been asking for brainy lady LEGOs for a while…wait, yes, yes they have. So, why now?
