Happy Friday, crusaders!
We’re now a ways into this summer of blockbusters and although it might feel like the only films being made are superhero movies, the reality is there’s a movie out there for just about everybody.
So today as we recover from the 4th of July and prepare to press forward through this Summer of Blockbusters, I thought I’d take a moment to celebrate our freedom to like whatever movies we want to like.
It may seem like a small thing, but it matters.
The summer is full of wonderful films, but I acknowledge that not all of them will be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay. In fact, that’s one of the things that make movies so magical. Think about how boring it would be if we all had the same taste in anything, let alone movies.
Yes, I might be talking to the reviewers and fans who seem to be personally offended by not loving some movies. But my point is if you did love them all, would you really love any of them? Think about it.
For instance, while I might be counting down the minutes until “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” hits the big screen, you might barely remember this magical movie is just two weeks away.
TWO WEEKS!!!
How are you not more excited?!?!
I mean, you do you, but I mean, it’s a Mamma Mia sequel!
But back to my point…Get out there and find your “Mamma Mia! 2,” and try not to squash somebody else’s.
…bi-daily smile…
