Posted on the 10 February 2012 by Lilnoodlebug @lilnoodlebug
Before I introduce everyone to Amy, I just wanted to say thank you for all the well wishes.  I got hit pretty hard with a nasty virus and had to spend several days in bed.  I am finally on the mend...and praying that the kiddos don't get it.

This is AmyFirst in Line Friday: Amy Cornwell

She blogs over hereFirst in Line Friday: Amy CornwellHer shop is FULL of Amazing JewelryFirst in Line Friday: Amy Cornwell
In one sentence, tell us about yourself?I'm a Christian WAHM who loves making jewelry and just aboutanything else creative with my hands!

Howdid you start selling your Amazing jewelry? Any pointers for those juststarting out? I started selling at home parties in 2003 and it was sosuccessful that I started my website in 2004. In 2007 I started making stampedjewelry instead of beaded jewelry and it really took off from there. My pointerfor anyone just starting out is KEEP AT IT. It took me many, many years to haveenough revenue to quit my "real" job. For some it's quick success andfor others "overnight" takes years.
Howdo you prioritize your time?
It's been hard since quitting my job in June to be a WAHM. Mykids are 6 and 3 so they have Kindergarten and Preschool, but there are only 2days a week for 2 hours that they're both in school. I am super focused duringthose 4 hours and the kids also have "quiet time" in the afternoonwhen I work. They can play alone or together, but they know that's my worktime. They've done well understanding that I need those few hours and that I'mworking so that I don't have to have a job outside the home. So basically Iwork from 9-11 on Tues/Thurs and then a few hours in the afternoon every day.If the kids are playing I'll write up a blog post or create. I try to maximizeany minute I can!First in Line Friday: Amy CornwellWheredo you see yourself, your shop, your blog in 5 years? Wow, I'm so horribly bad at goal setting, but I'd love to see myblog as being more craft-oriented and a place where people can come to beinspired, whatever that might look like. For my shop, I'd just love to see itcontinue to grow like it has been the past few years, hopefully adding a fewemployees (or a lot of employees) so that it's not just me doing it all bymyself. Personally, in 5 years I'll be a mom to an 11 year old and 8 year old,I can't even imagine! I'd love to see myself as really having grown in theLord, possibly mentoring young moms and loving my husband more than I everthought possible.
Sinceit is Valentines' month, what is the one thing you admire most about yourhusband?
That he’s hardworking. He’s worked so hard to provide for our family and get a job that would be thebest for our family. I am so appreciative for that. That and he loves me morethan I deserve :)First in Line Friday: Amy CornwellWhatdo you think is the key to any successful marriage? Give and take. It’s so hard not to be selfish in a marriage andI have to work on that every day. It’s hard to put the other person first, butI think if you truly do that, the marriage will be successful.
Anylast thoughts you would like to leave us with?

I’m just grateful that you had me here, sharing my story and thoughtswith you all! In all honesty, I guess the one thing I’d like to leave you withis follow your passion. Whatever that is whether it be cooking, crafting, encouraging others, blogging, writing - don’t shy away from that. Use the gift(s)that you’ve been given to encourage and inspire others.
Thank you Amy!!!!
