I blog over atFinding Beauty in the Ordinary-- a lifestyleblog about life with my best friend & husband of 5 years, Joshua, and ourGerman Shepherd puppy, Hartley. We found out awhile ago that we are expecting alittle baby in August and we could not be happier! We recently relocated toTucson, AZ, from San Diego, CA, and are enjoying exploring our new city. How did you get started blogging?Istarted actively blogging in August of this year. Before that, I blogged hereand there but nothing consistent. I fell upon one blog specifically,The Arizona Russums(and theauthor, Jen, now happens to be one of my "real life" friends!) andfrom there I just kept stumbling upon one blog after another and realized itwas just a big community of bloggers. I fell in love with it.What is your favorite thing about the blogging community?Ilove the community I've built with other bloggers. Some of them know specific,personal details about my life and have offered unconditional, unwaveringsupport. You can see how much the community I've built with other bloggers hasaffected me personally byreading the story of how Ifound out I was pregnant!:)
How did you become Miss Casey's assistant?Istumbled upon Casey's blog in late July of 2011 and fell in love, of course.She's raw, vulnerable and transparent: a quality I think most of us love abouther. After she went through the miscarriage in September, God put her on myheart like crazy. I can't really explain it, but I just felt compelled to askif she had any help. I could only imagine that she was literally drowning inemails, etc. She had just attended BlogSugar and was encouraged to ask for helpbut hadn't yet. It was a perfect fit. Ilove your optimism and your ability to remain positive, even during the roughtimes. How do you manage to do that?You're sosweet! I would definitely say that maintaining a positive outlook even during some of the really roughtimes is 100% a result of God's grace in my life. And having totrust that everything happens for a reason and that the end result will beworth it. Knowing that trials make me stronger. I wouldn't take back any of thehard times-- I'm a totally different person now. That's what pain does to us;it makes us a person of more depth.
