The past month and a half I have really been working on my fitness! I started the #ImGettingFit2014 challenge and it's been so fun keeping up with everyone as they accomplish their goals as well (: Along with sharing healthy recipes, I've also posted about the workout bootcamp I did last month and the exercise routines I'm doing on a daily basis.
I am so happy with the progress I've made and it's encouraged me to keep pushing towards the goals I've set. I don't always have time to do an actual 30 minute workout now that I have a baby, so instead, some days I just take a walk with my family or find other creative ways to stay active. I've also fallen in love with some items that I use on an almost daily basis! Here are my fitness faves:
1// Turban Headband: I love these! They stay put when I'm working out and I also discovered they are a great way to cover my postpartum hair loss (I've got bald spots right next to my temples).
2// Bow Tank: I designed this tank top with my friend Sylvia. We really love this saying because we both have struggled with weight issues over the years. I used to be heavy when I was younger and she has always been extremely skinny. Both of us have experienced people making fun of us or criticizing us for our size. This goes along with the post I wrote awhile back about loving yourself and finding where you are "free" with your weight.
3// Monogrammed Quarter Zip Pullover: This is the cutest pullover! I love throwing it on with leggings and taking a walk or wearing it en route to the gym (when I used to go to an actual gym).
4// Custom Camelbak: I own a handful of Camelbaks. They are my favorite type of water bottle and are extremely easy to drink out of (I hate trying to take off water bottle caps when I'm in the middle of working out). My two favorite Camelbaks are this one and my FSU one!
5// Workouts by The Workout Mama: My friend Tamara is such an inspiration to me! She is pregnant with her second baby and stayed fit and in shape through both pregnancies. I completed her bootcamp last month and it was amazing! I really liked that I could tailor it to me and where I was at with my fitness level. You can do them in the privacy of your own home and there are videos that show you how to do any exercises you might be unsure about.
