Another week has already flown by! Many things went on in this little lady's life over the past 7 days.Rilynn officially cannot fit in any of her newborn clothes. This isn't because she is chubby, but because she is so tall! She had her one month appointment and we found out she is over 23" long. To my dismay, she is barely fitting in 0-3 month onesies or pants either. I bought her so many cute clothes and now it looks like she will barely get to wear them. Shirts and dresses are fine, but her torso and legs are so long!!!
She also had to move to size 1 diapers for the same reason, although blowouts have occurred more frequently because she doesn't fill them out. I would love to try cloth, but she is still too small to fit in all our one size diapers. Speaking of poop, Rilynn has decided to take up a new hobby every night around 3am. At least 4 times this week she projectile pooped with her diaper off. We wait until we think she is done, but for some reason, always at the worst time possible, she decides to shoot poop across the room. It has been really frustrating because no one wants to be getting poop stains out of baby items and clothing in the middle of the night. It always happens to Ryan though...I'll be getting water or going to the bathroom and I hear him freaking out in the nursery. I'm hoping that this slows down or ends relatively soon.
Like I mentioned above, Rilynn had her one month check up. She is in the 99% for her height and now 90% for weight. She really isn't very chunky, so I know her weight went up because of her height. She came in at 11 lb and 3 oz. She is healthy and has no other issues.
She is back to eating 4-6 times an hour on some days. I think the fenugreek is really helping with my supply, but she is just so hungry! She stays awake for big chunks of the day and we have been trying harder to keep her awake leading up to bedtime. She sleeps anywhere from 3.5-5 hours at night, so I am grateful for that. She will have a time here or there where she wakes up after an hour and wants to eat, but that only happens maybe once or twice a week.
Other than that, we are enjoying watching her notice us more and more. She can follow us or certain toys with her eyes. She sometimes will even reach out to touch or grab something. She giggles and smiles a lot. She loves baths and as long as we keep warm water running over her, she will sit in her tub very content and just look around. My mom left early Monday morning, so this week we have been on our own. Things have been great in that sense, as Ryan has been at the house a lot. Friday is his last day in the Army. He is still hunting for a job, but he has a few interviews lined up. I am really looking forward to spending so much time, just the three of us, over the next few months!
Here is what we were up to this week:

watching the Giants win another game!

...and sleeping after all the excitement

she did great at her one month checkup

snuggling with mama by the fireplace

watching tv with dad

Lastly, I posted this image on IG yesterday. I have a really fun series coming to the blog/IG soon. It will be a winter "lookbook" and will feature fashionable baby outfits - everything from clothing to accessories. Readers will have the chance to win the entire outfit and all of the accessories featured each day! The shops for a particular day will work together to create a "look". The shops featured in look that receives the most reader votes will receive free advertising on my blog through the holidays. It is going to be a really fun series!
If you have a small business (or know of a great small business) & would like to participate, please let me know! The only requirement is that the shop must have an Instagram handle (even if it is your personal one). We only have less than a handle of slots still open. The items we could still use are baby/infant statement jewelry, fashion onesies, tops or sweaters, or any type of bottoms (i.e., leggings, leg warmers, pants, skirts, etc). We already have shoes, hats and hair accessories covered for all the days.
I would love to work with you!
