Friday night is homemade pizza night at our abode. It’s a night where, once Dora is asleep, hubby and I prepare and make the pizzas together. They are consumed on the lounge in front of the box and often with a glass of vino. It’s our date night. We really look forward to it each week.
After many weeks of trial and error, we have found the perfect pizza base that we mix in the bread maker. We make enough so we can freeze some for the following week.
Recipe: Super Easy Pizza Dough
We throw these ingredients into the bread maker, set and forget (until it beeps).
Last week, after our scrumptious roasted vegetable, mushroom and pepperoni pizza, hubby sneaked off to the kitchen. He emerged with Nutella Pizza with fresh bananas and strawberries on top. It was a delicious surprise. He was soon quizzed about how to replicate it (for round two).
Nutella Pizza
1. Roll out the dough to about the size of a bread and butter plate and prick the base all over with a fork.
2. Lightly brush it with olive oil.
3. Bake in a hot oven (180 – 200˚c) until golden (we also use a pizza stone).
4. Once golden, take it out of the oven and spread about 5 tablespoons of Nutella to the hot base.
5. Top with slices of fresh banana and strawberry.
Serves 2 (the first time around). You may need another.
Last week’s most clicked post was a tie. I am so happy that people are taking the time to view and comment on other linker’s posts. It really does make hosting and linking more worthwhile. It makes me smile too
Chaos with a Curve, shared some beautiful ‘Life in Motion’ images. Isn’t this one great? I’m looking forward to seeing more in the series. By the way, what is that contraption your son is holding?
Many of us found it difficult to go past Cathy, from A Peek into my Paradise‘s irresistible Caramel Banana French Toast.
