Last week we received a notice telling us we’d be without power from 9.00am – 2.30pm on Thursday 29th August. The plan was to get out of the house and go to a new park in the local area. Dora and I spent a lovely few hours together. She tested out all of the new equipment and rode her trike. Then we had a milkshake together at a cute little cafe on the water. The lady gave us some bread to feed the ducks out the back. We sat together in the sun and giggled at the cheeky ducks snatching bread of each other. It was lovely.
No housework was done but we had a beautiful day together.
Of course, when we got home, a worker knocked on our door and said “We’re turning your power off now!” That was at 1.30pm. Typical huh?!
