Follow Me Up to Carlow, #621

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and today I got in the mood by writing a special St. Patrick’s-themed Top 10 Tuesday music activity.  (Check it out HERE.)  It’s so funny how one tiny thing can put you in the mood for a style of music.  Suddenly, after writing the activity, my musical ears were craving the sound of Celtic music.  I am a big fan of all things Irish….U2 and Van Morrison high on the list, but I also really love the sound of traditional Irish music, too.

I really love the Young Dubliners with their combinations of Irish folk music and rock and roll.  The band, though founded in Los Angeles in 1988, had strong Irish roots with founding members being from Dublin.  Their music also reflects Irish and American influence, and they have the coolest sound…very much worth highlighting in a blog for all of you to listen to especially right before St. Patrick’s Day.

So….click HERE to go to Youtube to hear their awesome song, “Follow Me Up to Carlow,” and use this music to celebrate the luck of the Irish!  The fact is…..Irish music rocks, so take this moment to enjoy it.
