Friday Fives: Concerts I'd Love To Go!

Posted on the 04 October 2013 by Sparklesandstretchmarks @raine_fairy
I love seeing bands and singers live...it's one of my favorite things to do.
I went to my very first concert when I was about 13 years old - I had been so desperate to see Take That live for what felt like forever, but my parents thought I was too young to go to a big arena show in Manchester with friends.
Instead they arranged for a friend of my Mums to take me, and they bought me the tickets - I was SO excited!
The show was amazing, I went wearing my Take That t shirt with Mark Owen written on my face in eyeliner! I even passed out with excitement during their rendition of "Relight my fire" ... oh how cool I was!
After that, I started going to concerts as often as I could....I went to see my firm favorite Ant & Dec at least 3 times, I saw all the 90s favourites....911, Peter Andre, S Club 7, Steps, Damage, MN8, Atomic Kitten, Sean Maguire, Boyzone and loads more!
In more recent years, I've seen some of my favorite artists - Barry Manilow (Yes I love him!), Britney Spears, and JLS are the most recent ones I've been to.
Here are some bands/singers that I'm making it my mission to see perform live in the next few years!
1. MadonnaFriday Fives: Concerts I'd Love To Go!Yes I realize that she's more famed for her somewhat ridiculous onstage antics these days, but I have been a fan of hers since her 80s "Like A Virgin" days and she IS one of the biggest living legends around - it would be such an experience to see her perform live!2. Tori AmosFriday Fives: Concerts I'd Love To Go!Tori is one of my all time favorite artists, and to see her live would be a dream - her live performances are meant to be pretty spectacular - very understated and much more about her performance than about theatrics, but I enjoy those kinds of concerts probably more than big over the top spectacles.3. Olly MursFriday Fives: Concerts I'd Love To Go!I absolutely love Olly Murs, I just can't help myself! I love him, and I love his music too - it's so much fun! I think seeing him live would be a great night out!
4. Kylie MinogueFriday Fives: Concerts I'd Love To Go!Again, I have been a fan of Kylie since I was around 7 years old - I've followed her entire career since she was Charlene in Neighbours! And even when she went through her "weird" stages, I was always a fan of hers - I would love to see her in concert, I am sure she puts on one hell of a show!
5. The Big ReunionFriday Fives: Concerts I'd Love To Go!I've been watching the Big Reunion tv shows religiously, and love getting the chance to have a sneak peek behind the scenes at the lives of some of the bands I loved in the 90s - I would love to relive my youth a little by going to one of the live shows!
With tons of amazing acts lined up for the coming year, such as Taylor Swift and the status quo tour - the o2 is a venue I will be sure to keep an eye on as they house so many amazing shows!
What concerts have been your favourites over the years and which would you most like to go to in the future? As always, I'd love to hear from you!
