The kids are both sick! Poor things!!
Bug started throwing up in the middle of the night last night and has thrown up at least every hour since! That's almost 12 hours now. She's sleeping right now and I hope she starts holding stuff down when she wakes up.
C threw up in the middle of the night Tuesday night, then threw up Wednesday morning and has had the runs ever since! At least he seems to be feeling okay. If the kids aren't better by tomorrow morning we're going to the doctor.
Friday Randomness
I found one of my greatest ever Craigslist bargains Tuesday!!!! A BOB Revolution SE Duallie stroller for only $140! Woohoo!! These things retail for about $600 and even on Craigslist (which I stalk daily) they're normally listed for around $400. So $140 was a steal! The one I bought is a few years old but in very good condition. I'm super excited to have this stroller! Luckily I sold my InStep double jogger for $70 the same day I got the BOB.
Tuesday was a crazy day! My sweet mom rode out to Plano (over an hour away) with me to get the stroller. The day started out mildly enough although we knew rain and wind were in the forecast. On the way back we started hearing reports of tornadoes in the area. We decided to stop at a mall in north Fort Worth for awhile. By the time we got there the sirens were going off and we were in heavy rain. Now I knew the BOB stroller had a slow leak in one tire. The seller wanted to get it fixed before I picked it up but I was anxious to buy it so I told her we'd fix it ourselves. When I bought the stroller I wasn't very observant and thought the tire was holding air okay since it was a "slow" leak. Anyway, we got to the mall and pulled the stroller out and put the kids in. On the way into mall I was like "Wow, this thing is sure bouncy!" When we got into the mall I looked down and that front stroller tire was flat as a pancake! Well, what are you going to do when tornado sirens are going off and you have 2 kids that have to be contained and the store clerks are telling you to get to the back of the store? So, I pushed the kids around in the stroller balanced on the 2 back wheels. We were confined to the back of the store for about 20 minutes then finally went to get lunch in the food court with rain pounding down on the glass roof so hard we could hardly hear a thing. We'd barely gotten our food when we were all herded back into a hallway for another 45 minutes which was a ton of fun with two toddlers who had been cooped up for hours by that point! Haha! Really, it wasn't that bad. I'm glad we had a safe place to wait out the storm and I'm glad we were all okay. There was quite a bit of damage east of us but thankfully no deaths or serious injuries.
Tuesday evening we had Passover dinner with our home group. Lots of yummy food and a fun time!
Tomorrow we're supposed to go to an Easter egg hunt at church but at this point I doubt we'll even go with the kids being sick. My husband is working all weekend anyway and I'm not too excited about taking the kids out without him. If the kids get better by tomorrow morning we'll probably go but I really doubt they'll be 100% by the morning. I'm not sure about Easter service on Sunday either. We'll see.....
Well, hope everyone has had a less crazy week than we had! And have a great Easter weekend!
