From The Blog Dare: I Have Always Wanted to Visit....

Posted on the 01 November 2012 by Juliejordanscott @juliejordanscot

Tiffany gives us prompt today…. I have always wanted to visit...

Florence, Italy. Well, I should say I have wanted to visit there  for at least the past decade.

I want to visit and plant myself there, though, for a bit. I want to immerse myself in metropolitan Tuscany. I want to stand in spaces where the renaissance flourished and literally changed the world! I want to soak up the creative spark that I imagine still lives there from Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and I am sure so many “lesser knowns” that I have no clue about…. Yet.

I would love to sit in a coffee house, in my mind with outdoor tables, drinking coffee with my notebook and pen just observing life as it moves around me.

I would be a part of it yet separate, too, thinking my thoughts in English with all that luscious Italian being spoken by others there. I always picture myself alone in Florence, so I don’t have to cater to anyone else’s whim. Just me, on my own, loving life.

I have always wanted to visit Florence.

Now I only need to make it happen!
