You may remember that I wrote a post last week which was all about a #snackspiration challenge that I had been set by The Super Yummies, which was to come up with five different snack ideas incorporating their Tomato & Herb Breadsticks, their Pumpkin & Rosemary Breadsticks and their brand new toddler snack the Dairy Pots. The aim for this campaign is to provide parents of toddlers, like myself with #snackspiration to get their little ones excited for snack time and hopefully make them become more willing to try and eat different foods.
So last week everyday for five days, I shared the different ideas that I came up with over on my Twitter page. But just in case you missed it, I thought I'd do a little bit of a roundup here on my blog.
We also put together a face (with a bit of a piggy-shaped nose) using more fruit, the breadsticks and one of the dairy pots from The Super Yummies range for the nose. Logan loves these little dairy pots (which are actually really handy because they don't need to be kept in the fridge, so you can easily take them out and about with you). He couldn't wait to get stuck in!
Another of my favourites was the plane that we put together! I think mostly because I know how much Ethan loves his planes. For this we used melon, cut-up grapes, strawberries, apple, breadsticks and some orange segments. He was so excited (as you can see below) when we showed him!
The final creative snack idea that we came up with was this train. We used breadsticks, apple slices, melon, raisins, blueberries and strawberries and then there was as Super Yummies Dairy Pot for afterwards.
We had so much fun taking part in this challenge, it really made snack time feel a lot more exciting for the boys and helped to encourage them to try different fruits that they might not otherwise have eaten. They both really enjoyed the Super Yummies and the dairy pots can be found only at Morrisons.
Don't forget that you can share your own creative snack ideas on social media using the hashtag #snackspiration and you can also pin this post using the image below if you'd like to have a go at re-creating any of the snack ideas that I have shared.Thank you for reading.
