For a person that grew up there, and am going back there fairly soon I thought it’d be fun to share some FUN facts about my home state.

2) The State Bird is The Loon.

3) The Twin Cities refer to St. Paul and Minneapolis.  Minneapolis is more well known, however, St. Paul also has some really neat places to visit including Grand Avenue.

4) The Mall of America in Bloomington is the size of 78 football fields — 9.5 million square feet.  And yes, it’s the mall I grew up on.  Inside of the mall lies the “Home Plate” of the former Metropolitan Sports Stadium which can be found within the amusement park.
