Fun with Our Aussie Friends – Featherdale Wildlife Park

Posted on the 16 July 2013 by Meltingmoments

For B1 and B2′s second birthday they were given tickets to Featherdale Wildlife Park. They love animals and we knew they would have an absolute ball there. We finally got around to going not long ago (yes their birthday was in February), and it was such a fun experience.

There are over 300 species of Australian wildlife at Featherdale.

There are also all day encounters with our old Aussie favourites, the kangaroo and koala.

As we entered the park there was a little wooden bridge over a running stream. There were some ducks cruising around in the pond and B2 was in heaven already.

B2 was in awe of the big black bird we came to next.

The kangeroos roam free throughout most of the park.

Feeding them was so much fun. They were so tame you could sit right up close to them.

There was a short display where one of the attendants fed the little penguins and told us all about them.

There was a farmyard section with cows, pigs, sheep and other farm yard animals.

We had such a good day. I am sure we will make a return visit.

It is very tiring playing with our fury friends.
