Recently, on a glorious Autumn morning, Dora and I donned our gardening gloves and embarked on a planting spree.
Planting pea seeds was nice and easy for Dora’s little fingers. I made the holes and she popped the seeds in. She lost interest quite quickly after this, and it was no surprise that I was left planting the rest of the seeds solo as she explored the rest of the garden.
Little gloves for little hands
Working efficiently, I dug small trenches, planted and watered. I stood back, looked at the garden and imagined what it would look like in a few weeks when the seeds had begun to sprout.
A few weeks on and here’s what we have:
Marigolds (supposed to help keep the grubs away?)
Mini Lettuce
Chives
Peas
Basil
And um, we actually can’t remember what we planted here! The leaves are big and the stems are spiky. Does it look familiar to anyone?
