Hello lovelies!Today I thought I'd talk about two products that have really stood out to me lately and I've not seen a review about them before so thought I'd do one to share my thoughts to you all. For a little while now I've seen on the tv that Garnier advert which has Holly Willoughby in it about their BB cream and took a mental note that next time I'm out shopping for cosmetics to buy it and give it a try, so when I was racking around in Asda the other week, I came across the original BB cream and the Pure Active BB cream. I'm usually quite drawn to bb creams as I like to wear them as an alternative for either a very light makeup day (like in the summer), going to work or when I'm on holiday because I obviously want to look presentable but don't want to waste my NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, that is quite pricey for it just to be perspired off from the warmth and go to waste so was looking for a cheaper alternative so that if it did run off, then it wouldn't be as big a deal, so when I saw both these bb cream products I thought I'd try them out.
I've ended up being really amazed by both of them, I've been through a few bb creams and to be honest, none of them really wow'ed me but these actually have. Both products I find to glide onto my skin nicely and don't leave dry patchy marks like previous creams I've tried or just run off after the tiniest bit of heat. They blend really well and you don't need to use a ton of the product either, the coverage is nice and light with a healthy glow finish and doesn't just come off after a bit of hard days work which is what I've been looking for in a BB cream, forever! And the Pure Active one works exactly the same way, the only different is it has that lovely fresh cucumber smell that you can expect from other Garnier products which I really like as well.
The product shades I tried were both in Light, to give you all a skin comparison I tend to wear NARS foundation in Mont Blanc, so that might give you a guess as to how pale my skin is, or from just the photos on my blog, so if you were interested in them yourself that might give you more of an idea as to what is the best shade for your skin tone. Although the bb creams have a slight tint of being slightly darker than Mont Blanc, it doesn't make my skin look 5 shades too dark, it just leaves a lovely sun-kissed glow. I'm on holiday shortly so I'm definitely going to take these away with me to cover up any sunburnt face disasters haha! All in all it is safe to say I have found my absolutely ideal BB cream and I will definitely be repurchasing!
On a final note, I'd like to say thank you for the feedback on my last post, I'm glad you like the idea of including more gaming posts on this blog in future. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know your thoughts :)
Thanks for reading! :)
