Genius Babies {Review}

Today I am excited to share a small, family run business out of North Carolina.

Genius Babies was started by a "mom-preneur" and they take pride in the fact that they can give personal attention to each and every order that is placed. I can say that from my experience, this is extremely true! They are so attentive and make sure that each and every question you have is quickly and thoroughly answered.

While recently putting together my baby registry, I began to look for a play mat for our little miss. Genius Babies offered to let me try out their Activity 3D Playmat & Gym. Ok, I will be honest here. I was not thrilled with the colors. I commonly pick out things based on how they look and will fit in with my own home decor. Black, white and red is not as pretty as the typical rainbow and froo-froo playmats that I normally come across.
So I googled the Genius Babies mat - and I was extremely surprised. First of all, this mat has some of the highest reviews I found. Secondly, the high reviews came from....the colors!! Apparently babies up to six months do not see as clearly as they do at later ages. Parents were complaining that the "rainbow mats" they had previously purchased couldn't hold their baby's attention or the baby just would get bored. The high contrasting red, black and white is actually a great color scheme for your little one's eyes at that young age. The only negative reviews I saw were that the mat used buttons to connect the arches to the mat. Genius Babies has removed those buttons and now has ties at each corner instead, as you can see to the left.Probably the thing I love the most about this mat, is that it packs up easily and comes in a flat travel case. There is a handle at the top as well. The mat comes in 3 pieces: the soft cushioned mat and two arches. Each toy comes with a clip attached, so you can move the toys to where you want them or remove them if they need to be cleaned. Set up took me 1 minute. You just pop the arches into the little fabric pockets at each corner and secure the fabric ties. There is also an additional tie to connect the two arches together.
Overall I am so pleased with this mat. It is extremely padded and has so many easy and convenient features. I really encourage you to check out this playmat & it's fabulous reviews.
