Today marks the second day of National Novel Writing Month. You may recognize it better as its hashtag — #NaNoWriMo. As you can see, it’s compact because nothing matters more to writers than character(s).
It’s been said, in a variety of ways, by a variety of people, that we all have a novel in us, and this month is the time to let it out. To paraphrase Chef Gusteau of “Ratatouille” — “Anyone can cook write.”
Of course, as Remy (and Anton Ego, of course) learns, that doesn’t mean everyone can be a great cook writer, but anyone can.
So, if you’ve always felt you have a novel or two in you (you might want to have that checked out by a physician), there’s no time like the present. So this month put pen to paper, or characters to Twitter, and write that great novel.
…bi-daily smile…
