I love make-up and the holiday season is my favorite time of year as all the beauty companies launch their holiday collections. These are the collections that make me weak at the knees this Christmas. The choices, the choices….
Bobbi Brown has launched a sultry and ultra feminine collection for the holiday season called Old Hollywood 2013. Metallic eye palettes, liquid eye liners and vampy reds for lips and nails are all very screen goddess and so stunning on Katie Holmes who is modelling the collection. I love the golden little make up traveling bag, very vintage, very glamorous and immediately makes me think of a scene in an old Hollywood movie, where our screen goddess is clicking in her high heels on a train platform with her sophisticated travel cases. Prices arrange from about £11.00 for nail polishes to £59.00 for the eye palettes.
Everything about Rhianna is sexy, including her make-up collections. Sleek and shiny, the Riri Hearts MAC holiday collection includes the famous Ri-Ri Woo lipstick and two new shades (Pleasure Bomb and Bad Girl RiRi) as well as an eye-opening shimmery white eye-liner (literally, try it on your lower lids!). The eye palettes are smoky and shimmery, the nail polishes shiny and vibrant. The rose gold make-up bag is super cute and fabulous idea for a gift! This, I hear, is Rhianna’s last MAC collection, which is a shame, the collab has been so successful. This is a limited edition collection and will debut in December. Be fast, it will sell out!
Lancôme has gone all sparkly, literally for their happy Holidays 2013 collection. (Look at those lipstick cases, they aren’t they divine?) What caught my eye immediately were the new eyeliner patches to create dramatic eyes for the party season and the Hypnôse Star Étincelle Édition mascara which also comes in silver in addition to the traditional black. Hypnôse Ultra Dazzling Colours eye shadows have a mousse texture and come in very vibrant and sparkly colours. This collection definitely packs in bling and for that reason, may be my favorite. The collection prices range from £12.50 for the nail polishes to £28.00 for the eye-liner patches and £22.00 for the eye shadows.
Estee Lauder’s Christmas 2013 collection is sophisticated and classic. Lipsticks and lip glosses come in hues of orange and pink and holiday gold is the theme for the eye shadow palettes. You can choose from Warm Gold, Brilliant Gold and Pink Gold. What I’m lusting after is the Automatic Lip Pencil Duo in Poppy Red, so holiday glam paired up with the Hot Cherry Lip Lacquer. As a personal note, I have always loved Estee Lauder’s gift sets, and their Even Skin Tone Essentials gift set (£48.00) is on my wish list, in case you are listening Santa Claus. The Christmas 2013 collection will launch in November.
