Without doubt, I find the men in my life the most difficult ones to buy for. My Dad ends up with whiskey and socks every year, and Jon's gifts are usually bought in a panic in the week before Christmas.
This year I thought I'd do it a bit differently and try sorting out the most difficult gifts first - and today I'm going to share some of the bits I've found that I'm thinking might just find their way under my Christmas tree this year.
Beard Trimmer
Jon has been dropping hints about getting a decent shaver for a while now. When we first met he had a beard and said that his Panasonic beard trimmer was fantastic so he's had his eye on their electric shaver range for a while now - they're quite reasonably priced and with a brand like Panasonic you know you're getting top of the line quality and the most up to date technology too - plus it's something you're unlikely to treat yourself to, making it the perfect gift!
Coffees Of The World Gift Set
This set from Whittard Of Chelsea is the perfect gift for coffee lovers like my other half. Containing a mix of 9 different coffees from around the world - from dark to light roasts and including everything from fruity blends to chocolatey ones, it is sure to keep the Caffeine fans happy!
Personalised Apron
If the man in your life fancies himself as King of The Kitchen like my other half does, then a gift like this super trendy personalised Apron could be a great option.
I know my other half would get a real giggle out of the kitsch-appeal of this but he would also get a lot of use out of it too!
Millenium Falcon Desk Lamp
As a warhammer enthusiast, my other half spends a lot of his free time painting miniature models and he's always saying that he could do with a new lamp to help him paint at night - but buying just any old lamp seems a bit dull.
Luckily I've spotted this Millenium Falcon Lamp which, as a Star Wars fanatic, I just know he'll love!
A New Board Game
As geeky as it sounds, my other half and I love to play board games together - and actually my Dad is a fan of board games too - so I'm always on the lookout for new ones to add to our collection.
This year I've got my eye on the Blockbuster board game - perfect for movie buffs like us! I spotted this on IWOOT
And of course, if your budget allows, you could always go all out with something extra special like a top speed race car experience or maybe even a flying lesson - Virgin Experience days have some fantastic options on offer if you're looking for a gift with real wow factor this year!
I hope you've found this post useful for a bit of gift-giving inspiration this year - let me know what you tend to buy for the men in your life when it comes to special occasions, I can always use the help!
