Yes, you read that right, there’s a turkey shortage. An outbreak of bird flu took out about 8 million turkeys this year. Plus, the ones that survives are smaller than usual.
Which isn’t any reason to panic, but it is a reason for the price of turkey to go up.
So, assuming your still read in this and haven’t already bolted for the nearest grocery store to stock up on frozen turkey, you might want to go…like now.
…oh, and while you’re there you might want to stock up on pumpkin pie filling…it was a bad year for the pumpkins too.
