If Beacons Festival was a TV cop it’d be the young upstart who plays by his own rules; you just can’t help but love it.
Without a doubt the most charming of the throng of UK boutique festivals, Beacons has a quickly growing reputation for providing high class acts in a top location, without taking itself so seriously that you can’t just have a good old fashioned ale and a good time.
The 2013 line-up is led by performances from Local Natives, Bonobo and Django Django (who will all be headlining the Loud & Quiet Stage) whilst big crowds are certain gather for SBTRKT, Ghostpoet, Gold Panda and Eats Everything.
The ‘You Need To Hear This’ Stage draws in a range of up-and-coming acts including Dan Croll, Fucked Up, Savages and Esben & The Witch whilst fans of electronic music will be delighted to see that the Resident Advisor Stage features Floating Points, Theo Parrish, Ben UFO, Bondax and Bicep.
The top picks from the other stages includes sets from T. Williams, Chad Valley, Iration Steppas, Wolf Alice, Egyptian Hip-Hop and David Rodigan. Add in the beautiful Yorkshire scenery and a Gourmet Street Food and Real Ale Festival and it sounds like pretty much the perfect weekend away.
