The event consisted of pairing some of the finest Gourmet with Four Seasons Wines for a three course Dinner. The food was carefully prepared for this occasion by the chefs of the partnered outlets for a mesmerizing gourmet experience. The invite was for 2 and we were given the option of choosing the venue out of 10 famous restaurants in New Delhi/NCR. After a little brainstorming with Awungshi from Dr Poison Ivy's Beauty Blog, we settled for Fork You in Hauz Khas Village, but due to some last minute changes, the event sponsors asked us to Visit Spaghetti Kitchen & Bar. Though I have known Awungshi for over a year now via facebook, and we have been in regular touch. But It was the first time I was meeting her in person (just imagine my silly self forgot to take anything for her while she got me some lovely Korean skin samples)...And surprisingly there was no awkwardness, we had so much to catch up on, the whole time we were either; talking nonstop, binging on food or taking pictures :)Now back to the review.(Picture Heavy)Location Spaghetti Kitchen &Bar.2nd Floor, Select Citywalk Mall, Saket, New Delhi
WelcomeUpon reaching our destination, we were very warmly welcomed by the staff and were escorted inside by Mr Dharmander Bidhuri (Sr Restaurant Manager) himself along with the lady at the outside reception kiosk; everyone seemed to be so nice. Once we were made to sit, Mr Bidhuri introduced himself and told us about the Gourmet Indulgence event organized by Four Seasons Wines and what all was in store for us.
AmbianceThe interiors are vibrant and cozy at the same time. The table set ups, the hanging lamps, the vintage crockery cupboards at the corners and the attention to details in designing the interiors, makes the restaurant a perfect place to enjoy a meal.FoodSince it was a pre set menu especially designed by the chefs for the Gourmet Indulgence Event, we were given special menu cards that had the details of the food along with the Wine pairings.
StartersMr Bidhuri himself came with Four Seasons Chenin Blanc Wineand as he poured it in our glasses he familiarized us with the wine, Chenin Blanc Wine is a bright golden wine with a slightly sweet taste and has the base notes of lime peel, sweet apples, guava and banana.
I paired my wine with Pumpkin and Potato Roesti flashed with bocconcini and Tomato Salad
While Awungshi ordered for Pollo Polpettine Tender Chicken Morsels with porcini sauce and crispy Bacon (my fav too)
For main course I ordered for Pollo Repieno
Chicken breast stuffed with salsa San Remo and fontina with spicy smoked chicke sausage Fettuccine. And Awungshi was served Flourless Chocolate Cake with Espresso Gelato, Gianduja sauce. (btw we swapped our desserts because Awungshi fell in love with Panna Cotta and I loved the cake for its intense flavors that went extremely well with Shiraz)
I must say I am impressed with the food that was specially crafted keeping the wines in consideration. Everything was made to perfection!!
ServiceI truly am in Awe of the Service at Spaghetti Kitchen & Bar; The Owner himself came up to greet us and asked us what we thought of the restaurant and our thoughts on the food and wine pairing, for me that was a very thoughtful gesture by the owner. And our host for the afternoon Mr Dharmander Bidhuri was a true gentleman, he took care of everything while we were there right from the wines and to the food, he made sure that we had everything on our table at the right time and at the right temperature. And how can I not mention the Chef who himself came to meet us!!The service staff people were all surprisingly pleasant too, everyone made sure that our glasses were filled at all the times, our plates were not lying on the table when we had finished with a course. Everything was so well managed!!
Value for MoneyRs 999+ taxes, per person for 3 course meal paired with Four Seasons Wines.
For me it was definitely a Fine Dining Experience with an awesome company...A Big Thumbs UP to the successful event!!
P.s Special thanks to Awungshi for letting me use some of her blog pictures:)
