Graco Modes 3 Lite Trio Travel System Review

Posted on the 07 December 2016 by Alex_bumptobaby @bumptobaby_blog
When it comes to pushchairs and what's important to me, I like to know that my baby is comfortable and of course safe. I like something that isn't complicated to assemble or put down, because the last thing I want to be doing when I'm trying to get the boys in and out of the car is mess around with the pram. I like something that is easy to steer and that has a big enough basket for me to put shopping in and the boys things. I think the Graco Modes 3 Lite ticks all of these boxes.

I chose the Graco Evo when I was pregnant with my first little boy, Ethan. I literally loved that pram, especially the huge basket! It was so easy to put up and down and steer and Ethan always seemed comfortable in it and Graco's Modes 3 Lite reminds me of it very much of it.

The Graco Modes 3 Lite can be bought as a travel system with a car seat or as a trio with both a car seat and a carrycot and it has up to seven riding options, which means it grows with your baby.
Logan is seventeen months now and so I've focused this review on the Modes 3 Lite as a stroller, but I really like that if you want to, you can choose to purchase the Modes 3 Lite as a complete trio and use it for each stage as your baby grows.

As a stroller you can choose between forward or rear facing and there's a 5-point harness in the seat to keep your little one safe and secure. It has a recommend weight of 15kg and comes complete with a footmuff, a hood and a rain cover, as well as a drinks cup holder (which is quite handy!).
It has a 3 wheel design and I personally find it extremely easy to steer. I also love how easy it is to put up and down, it takes only a few seconds and is incredibly simple, plus it fits nicely in my car boot - a big bonus when it comes to travel systems like these.

Logan looks comfortable and snug in his pushchair and has plenty of room at seventeen months. My Husband and I found the straps a little tricky at first when we had the footmuff on, but we think we've got them figured out now.

One thing that we have found is that the footmuff doesn't really stay on as much as we like. Logan can easily kick it off and both my Husband and I agreed that maybe some poppers at the top to keep the footmuff in place might have been a good idea, so that it doesn't hang down at the top.

The Modes 3 Lite also features quite a large hood, which is good for when there's a little bit of rain or sun (not that we're getting much of that this time of year!).

And the underneath basket fits absolutely tons in!

Logan is past the age where he can use the carrycot or the infant car seat, but they both seem really snug and well designed. We used a Graco infant car seat with both of our boys that was similar to the SnugRide car seat below and we really liked it.

Overall I like the Graco Modes 3 Lite, I'd maybe like to see the straps when using the footmuff improved or made easier and I'd also like to maybe see poppers or something similar on the top of the footmuff to help secure it better, but it has many great points to it. I love the spacious basket, I love how easy it is to put up and down and how easy it is to steer. Plus the fact that if you purchase it as a trio, it will grow with your child.
We were provided the Graco Modes 3 Lite Pushchair for review purposes, however all opinions are entirely our own. You can find out more about the Modes 3 Lite by visiting graco.co.uk.
