Greek Food And Beyond is just over a month old restaurant in South Point Mall, Gurugram (Gurgaon). But it is already popular around for authentic Greek and Mediterranean food. As the name suggests, it promises to present a mix of Greek delicacies and beyond. What Beyond means is that you also get a chance to find classic delicacies from Italy, Morocco, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey. Not only that. There are also some exclusive cuisines from English, French, and Spanish Food. And that is what you find on the maps painted on both sides of the walls. This is a story of a couple’s journey of six years starting from Bhopal to Delhi-NCR. And the journey does not end here. There is a long way to go as you can find on the faces of the couple. The ambiance is fabulous that brings a mix taste of colonial Europe and Greece.

Although the six-year-old outlet in Bhopal is all set and is among the top restaurants in the city, the Gurgaon outlet is experimenting with the dishes to shell out the best of the world. In fact, I would call it a place of a perfect mix of culture and food in the right environment. And who knows tomorrow you might find the serving staff in Greek or Mediterranean outfits? I was wondering in today’s digital world, why Greek Food and Beyond website doesn’t reflect their presence on social media like Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, etc. In fact, it is quite important for hospitality and F&B industry to be interactively present there. We had a fabulous round of starters. Firstly it was Trio of Dips (Babganoush, Skordalia, and Chilly Aioli). Then we had Chicken Hummus Bowl, Fish Kebab, and Cous Cous and Grilled Vegetables Salad. All these are special dishes and not to miss. In the main course, it was Chicken Souvlaki that is excellent in taste and presentation. In addition, we had Psari Plaki which is Greek style baked fish. Molten Lava Chocolate Cake is s delicious attempt in desserts. Did I mention the drinks part? Virgin Mojito comes with a different kind of perfection. So are the fresh juices. We had Beetroot and Carrot fresh juice, and Orange and Strawberry fresh juice. The latter will have a tangy taste that clearly spells out the ‘fresh’ part.
