Green. But Not With Envy

Posted on the 29 July 2012 by Vidyasury @vidyasury
Gazing at nature is the nicest way to relax. I enjoy watching the skies in the evening every day. But I am equally fascinated by trees. The variety of barks enthralls me and I could spend all day walking among them. Here are some of my favorites from the recent additions to my collection of gorgeous greens. Enjoy! Pretty ferns. Pretty huge!

Green. But Not With Envy

I love this trunk. There seem so many stories hidden within!

I hear the wind among the trees Playing the celestial symphonies; I see the branches downward bent, Like keys of some great instrument. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Green. But Not With Envy

There's something about tree barks covered with creepers....

I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth's sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in Summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree. ~Joyce Kilmer, "Trees," 1914

This took my breath away in the misty ambience.

Trees are the earth's endless effort to speak to the listening heaven.   ~Rabindranath Tagore, Fireflies, 1928

Here's a quote I love!

Climb a tree - it gets you closer to heaven.  ~Author Unknown

Do you enjoy trees? Did you climb one as a child? Which tree is your favorite?

Have a fabulous week, friends!
