you'll never know:
out of sight I'm blue
in the corners of the body
the parts you never wish to see
I'm blue
you know I am
you know I'm pushed along
without a choice, you know but
whenever you see me, I'm red
embarrassed and flustered
and you don't want to see me.
Keep me tucked inside
and swipe me away when I'm out
And all the little parts of me struggle their whole lives to not pool in the ground
but all the parts of you spend their whole lives keeping me up, because you need me around

Inspired by a little Q and A session I attended at the College at Brockport featuring poet Wendy Barker, and a little inspired by her informal free flowing style. Maybe I'll write a song about this...
